Who can become a member?

Membership is open to anyone paying into or receiving a pension from Canada’s Public Service, the RCMP or the Canadian Armed Forces, federally appointed judges and to honourably discharged non-pensioned veterans. Anyone receiving a survivor benefit from the pensions mentioned above is also eligible.

What does membership cost?

Membership costs just $52.56 per year for an individual and $68.28 per year for a couple. The double membership option doubles your impact and provides membership to a spouse or partner! Partners can join whether they are retired or still working, and do not need to be eligible to collect a federal pension. Both become eligible for all Local and National member benefits, including our exceptional rates on MEDOC travel insurance, our monthly Ottawa Branch newsletters and events on Healthy Aging and Financial Literacy.

If you’d like to turn your single membership into a double membership for only $1.27 more per month, give us a call at 1-855-304-4700 (toll-free).

How do I sign up?

Joining the Association is easy:

Pay by monthly pension withdrawal. This is the most popular choice! The Dues Deduction at Source (DDS) payment option is the simplest and most convenient way to pay for your membership and to renew every year automatically. Thanks to our relationship with the Treasury Board and the Pension Centre, the DDS option allows the Association to deduct your membership fees directly from your pension on a monthly basis. This translates to $4.28 per month for a single membership, or $5.55 per month for a double.

Pay by Credit Card. Get instant access to all member benefits.

Pay by Cheque. If you prefer, simply download our application form, and return it by mail to the National office (865 Shefford Road, Ottawa, ON K1J 1H9) with your cheque. Please do not send cheques to the Ottawa Branch office.
