Caregiver 101 – with AIM Fitness and the Ontario Caregiver Organization

Video Recording

Join Meg Stickl-Kroeker for a session that’s focused on caregivers. Whether you care for a spouse, a relative, or a friend, this session will be helpful for all. Meg will lead you through some gentle stretches and restorative movements, followed by a presentation called Caregiver 101, with a Guest Presenter from the Ontario Caregiver Organization.

This presentation is designed for people who are new to caregiving for a family member or friend. It centers around the emotional impact of caring, potential challenges that may arise, and identifying sources of support along the journey. The Ontario Caregiver Organization provides resources to support caregivers at any step of the caregiving experience. In this presentation, caregivers learn about:

  • The various roles that caregivers have.
  • The emotional impact of caregiving, and what to expect.
  • When to ask for support and how to promote resilience.
  • Information and resources about where to find support.

Join for an informative session!

Participate in the exercises at your own risk.

The content will be presented in English, however bilingual participation is encouraged. La présentation se fera en anglais, mais la participation dans les deux langues officielles est encouragée.
